Starting from September 1, 2026, managing websites under Russian domains will only be possible after identification through Gosuslugi

The Federal Law dated 29.12.2025 No. 569-FZ introduces mandatory identification of domain owners ru/.рф/.su through the "Gosuslugi" portal (ESIA).

The new requirements apply to individuals and legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and non-residents.

Without identity verification, it will not be possible to renew a domain, change the administrator, or register a new one. After the expiration period, the domain may become available to other users.

The main goal of the innovation is to reduce the number of anonymous registrations and combat fraud.
